From Marlinton, riders can explore everything from relaxed rail-trail outings to challenging mountain loops through the Mon Forest. The routes below highlight several sides of the region, including a family-friendly ride north on the Greenbrier River Trail to Sharp’s Tunnel, and a short gravel loop linking town to the new Monday Lick Trail System. Longer rides venture into the forests of Seneca State Forest, climb toward the Highland Scenic Highway, or follow remote mountain valleys along the Cranberry River.

For experienced riders, the Dogway–Droop Mountain loop climbs deep into the Cranberry highlands before returning to town via the river corridor, creating one of the area’s most scenic day rides or bikepacking routes.
