Cranberry Tri-Rivers Rail Trail extends 16 miles from downtown Richwood through the Monongahela National Forest, following the Cherry, Cranberry, and Gauley Rivers through scenic mountain valleys. This community-led trail features the 640-foot Sarah’s Tunnel, historic Baltimore & Ohio Railway remnants, and varied surfaces from gravel to dirt that reward riders with wider tires. Safety

The CTRRT is a multi-use trail; remember to yield appropriately and always follow Leave No Trace principles.

The CTRRT travels through remote backcountry, and cell service may not be available.

While Class 1 and Class 2 E-Bikes are permitted on the CTRRT from Richwood to Holcomb, use is prohibited within the Monongahela National Forest section. Click here for more information about USFS e-bike policies. 

Directions

The southern trailhead is located at the Richwood Depot Visitors Center on Oakford Avenue, directly off US-39 (Highland Scenic Highway).

Additional trailheads with limited parking are located at Dain Park, Fenwick Post Office, and the Holcomb Bridge.
