Mower Basin Trail System
At a Glance
Mower Basin Trail System offers over 30 miles of internationally recognized stacked-loop mountain biking trails across a restored Monongahela National Forest landscape near Durbin. Once scarred by logging and strip mining, Mower Basin now features budding red spruce forests, open meadows, and panoramic ridge views spread across dozens of dispersed campsites. With trails designed for all abilities and four-season access, including cross-country skiing, Mower Basin demonstrates how conservation and recreation can transform degraded lands into premier outdoor destinations.
